🚨🎙️BREAKING: FIFA President Gianni Infantino: “We are aware of the political message display from Argentina. We understand it’s against the rules but we also know it’s a matter of their nationality and we respect it. We will make a decision after the final.”

🚨🗣️ 𝗡𝗘𝗪: Jürgen Klopp on Tuchel's performance against Argentina: "People always speak after the game like coaching is easy. Like you just choose attack or defend’and that’s it. It doesn’t work like this. Football is much more complex. "I see the criticism of Tuchel for trying to defend the 1-0 against, but let me tell you something: if he didn’t do that, if he kept pushing forward and they conceded the same people would be saying, ‘Why didn’t he control the game? Why didn’t he defend the lead?’ "In knockout football, whatever decision you make, someone will criticise you. I’m not saying every decision is perfect, but you have to understand the logic behind it. "Managing a game at that stage is never simple."

Lions Led By Donkeys… Tuchel killed England with his cowardice… no different to Southgate. 1-0 up, against a desperate high line from Argentina - crying out for Saka, Rashford and Watkins in that game state. Instead defender after defended came on, Roy Hodgson style rather than the tactical maestro we were promised in Tuchel. We just let Messi run the right flank with ease and gave Enzo room to keep getting shots off from distance. How was this not stopped? I feel betrayed, what a fucking moron. Terrible game state management and he’s cost us a World Cup final.

@DougieCritchley Context matters - putting yourself in contention repeatedly usually leads to learning from the mistakes that ultimately cost you.

You look at PSG with the Champions League… Man City with the Champions League… Arsenal more recently with the Premier League… You keep on knocking on the door, you keep putting yourself in contention… You eventually win. Two great goals from Argentina, we rode our luck 2nd half… it happens, we lost to the world champions. Proud of our team.

Kobbie Mainoo didn’t play a single minute in the 2026 World Cup. Thoughts?

Thomas Tuchel's coaching has cost England a chance at winning the World Cup. What a cowardly coaching performance. Can't complain about corruption or favouritism when the reality is it was pathetic, negative choices that invited all this pressure. Parked the bus & paid the price.

England never learn. When the game cried out for a press-resistant midfielder, Tuchel ignored Mainoo. We wasted Carrick for a decade, and now we're making the same mistake with Mainoo. Different generation, same blind spot. Absolutely gutted.

I think in any normal year... If England went into a quarter-final against a side that had comfortably knocked out Brazil... With Saka, Rice and James not fit to start, Livramento already ruled out, another right-back option in Quansah suspended... and a potential Rice replacement having broken his arm in a freak accident... AND the game coming just 5 days after one of the most exhilarating, gruelling England matches of all-time... beating Mexico, in the Azteca... a place they hadn't lost since 2013... And you concede the 1st goal, for the 2nd time in 3 knock-out matches... I think a lot of manager's would panic and think "man, this might not be our year." Not Tuchel. He finds a way and his team, which are so, so gritty and determined, find a way. What a guy!

Breel Embolo was distraught after becoming the first player to be sent off as a result of the new ‘mistaken identity’ law 🟥 After a VAR review, he received a second yellow card for a dive when Argentina’s Leandro Paredes was initially cautioned for a foul ❌
