@sct350 @jimiuorio There are things he's done that ive been ok with or even welcomed, but the vast majority of what hes done i think is insane, goes too far or is outright bad for America. I am not 100% confident we survive as a country and ive never had that concern with any other president

I’m not trying to be a smart guy here and I really want an honest conversation. What are you guys protesting? From the outside it looks pretty strange. I’m no big fan of Trump but enabling free speech, lowering taxes and regulations, promoting broad gun rights do not seem like characteristic of a “king”…if you feel like it(and are able) please explain?

@GW3post @jimiuorio He governs by executive order because he cannot even get his appointments confirmed by congress because of obstructionist Democrats. And he wins his cases in court most of the time again because of obstructionist Democrat lawfare. They don't even expect to win, just delay.

They cared about maintaining the constitution in a way that Trump just cant be bothered. Trump is also taking it to extremes in a direction that not everyone in this country agrees with. To break the rules to radically change the country in a way that people disagree with is going to invite back lash.

We expect people who take an oath of office to uphold the constitution and work within the system as it exists. If a person doesnt then it makes sense people will react. Him not being an establishment is why his base loves him so much, he works outside the box, but that's also exactly why people are protesting him

the meanest thing you do to yourself is pretend you don’t want the things you want. shrink the desire before anyone can see it. call it unrealistic before someone else does. and then walk around with this low grade starvation you can’t name because you buried the appetite so deep even you forgot where you put it. wanting things is dangerous. I know. it opens you up to disappointment and to looking foolish and to reaching for something that might not reach back. want it anyway. the alternative is a life of pretending you’re full.

Leftists don't believe in capitalism or the value of corporations.. they're not actually interesting in breaking up monopolies or better regulating corporations or reducing financialization. They want hardcore socialism despite no framework of how that would work.

Can we have a discussion about why we want to try and run a country without the companies that keep society functioning? I agree that money shouldnt be allowed to buy politicians who need to make decisions that work against the interests of corporations for the common good of society, chiefly addressing market failures and externalities that corporations have no profit incentive to take on, but to try and run society without the benefit of the very organizations that produce all the things we depend on to function feels like some kind of luddite suicide? Like even if we get corporations to pay their people more, which i am totally fine with, destroying corporations by eliminating their ability to compete makes it impossible for them to employ people in the first place - so what exactly are we advocating for here? Are employers the enemy? Where's the bottom?
