The first investigation of genomic diversity among people buried at Machu Picchu has revealed surprising diversity. The DNA in the 15th-century remains was degraded, but scientists were still able to sequence it with techniques developed at @UCSC_PGL news.ucsc.edu/2023/07/machu-…
