This weekend’s results🟢⚪️🟢⚪️⚽️ The first team put on a fine display against one of the league’s promotion favourites, whilst the u16’s followed suit with a fine win over Rayleigh Town in their first league game of the season. The u18’s sadly bowed out of the FA Youth Cup

Good to start the season off with a clean sheet. Massive credit to Rayleigh Town they gave a great account of themselves. The boys took their chances very well and scored a couple of great goals. Onto a tough first round of the EJA cup at Burroughs Park next Sunday.

Different type of game for us to face today. Awful pitch. Ball coming down with snow on it. Great lessons on how to deal with direct team who try to turn you around at every opportunity. Boys tried to play football, had to mix it at times. Another good experience for the boys.

Extremely low on numbers due to holidays and injuries on our trip over the bridge to face Ebbsfleet. The boys played very well, moving the ball through the third’s. Confidence is certainly growing in the squad. Another tough test tomorrow vs Dartford

Another great fixture away to Sudbury. Good to see the boys take on feedback from last week and put it into practice today. We are seeking a fixture 20/7/25 if anyone is available

Great to be back playing games. Thanks Colchester United for having us over. Brilliant performance from the boys against a strong academy side. We look to continue this form In our next games Vs Sudbury and Southend.

Very early start to get to Buckinghamshire. Level of football was outstanding some Cracking goals. Both managed to win their groups and get to the final. Great time spent off the pitch bonding the group.

Great tournament over FAE tonight. The level of competition was extremely high. Both teams just fell short of the final losing out on dreaded penalties. One team went the whole competition not conceding a goal. The new faces have slotted in very well. We go again Sunday.

The boys got their hands on the league winners trophy after a hard fought game play off game vs Needham Market. A tight affair saw us coming away 2-1 winner and we move on to the semi final of the champions of champions thanks to this worldie from George.

As we mentioned earlier, our U15s were in action tonight in the Peter Peters Charity Shield, and our Bowers Boys came out on top with a 2-0 win over Harlow Town. Congratulations to all involved! #UpTheBowers

Development has always been our main goal, and we’re proud to see two boys now training with the first team, one making the bench for a senior game, and a few others going on trials with professional clubs (my phone’s honestly started to feel like a football agent’s this season!)

EJA CHAMPIONS! What an unbelievable achievement for our little village club! Being based in the furthest south-east corner of Essex, we’ve always wondered how we could recruit and attract the players needed to take us to the next level.
