Arguably the best recruit Oliver has landed since taking the SCSU job. 6'2 LHD. Formerly committed to UConn. Wonder if countryman Patriks Berzins played any role in Uljanskis' decision. Both played in multiple WJCs for Latvia: Berzins in '22 & '23, Uljanskis in '24, '25, & '26

@sydneyisawolf I appreciate what Larson has done for the program, especially getting us to Championship game. However, I think after the last couple seasons of underperforming it is time for a change.

@AndrewSCSUHHP So freaking tired of these last few seasons.Way to talented to lose in the manner they do, as often as they do. Need to see some accountability from the coaching staff/Athletics Dept. 3 straight season of no NCAAs with the resources and talent we have is completely unacceptable.

@MoarClappers Sometimes it feels like they will get possesion back and then immediately try to choose the worst way possible to break it out of thr zone.

All of that was because of a failed clear. Huskies had so much trouble with that last night and seems to continue.

@AndrewSCSUHHP Every damn time! I personally would not put my 4th center who only wins 40% of his faceoffs in for a defensive zone draw off a timeout, but I guess that kind of genius strategy is why Brett gets laid the big bucks.

@GZastrow84 Another one that got me was SCSU taking its timeout after an icing, then putting out the Rosborough line (?), which promptly gave up a goal on the ensuing face-off. Really maximized the effectiveness of that timeout lol

Reiners, Loftus, and Ahcan were on the ice for the game tying goal and the OT winner tonight AND the game tying EA goal for UND two weeks ago. Personnel decisions were baffling tonight in general, none more critical than those made in crunch time

Huge win. Kyrkkö shows just how much of a difference maker she is. Gophers look night and day different than the last series between these teams. Can the Huskies pull off another win at Ridder this weekend?

@MoarClappers Would like to see some more urgency. Even though the season isn't technically on the line, it would be nice to see them acting/responding/playing like it is.

Add another squandered game to the list for the Huskies this season. Played well overall but made just enough mistakes to prevent a regulation win. A good handful of such results this year; the difference in their season so far.

@AndrewSCSUHHP At this point, barring a sudden frozen four run there needs a be a shakeup of thr coaching staff. The same mistakes week in and week out, that is a coaching issue. Been like this the last 3 years.

SOUND-OFF SATURDAY: Huskies manage to score one goal in the weekend sweep at the hands of Miami. SCSU plummets in NPI and now are closer to last place than home ice in the NCHC standings. Oof. Are Huskies fans more optimistic than I am? Sound off!

@AndrewSCSUHHP Would like to see consistency, multiple weekends of 1 good win with 1 flat footed loss. With the parity in the sport this year we need to get to 10,11,12 in the NPI. Gotta take 5/6 from Miami, CC and ASU. Would be great to split+ with UND. They can do it with more consistency.

@AndrewSCSUHHP I bet he winds up in the portal and back in college hockey next year. The new eligibility stuff gives him options.

The Huskies' already thin D corps takes a further hit, with Kaleb Tiessen signing ECHL deal. Tiessen struggled to crack the roster, 5 GP this year and just 22 GP combined in his three years with SCSU.

@AndrewSCSUHHP Wins are fun! Hopefully they hit the practices hard and figure out some of the defensive lashes and start to form an actual identity on offense. Between the Western Series and tonight they have shown they are capable of winning bigger games.
