Metro Atlanta is a hub for women entrepreneurs. The region is home to more than 227,000 women-owned businesses, making Metro Atlanta one of the top five U.S. metro areas for female entrepreneurship.

Women entrepreneurs are creating jobs across Georgia. Georgia is home to nearly 39,000 women-owned businesses with employees, representing about 22% of all employer businesses in the state.

Nearly half of Georgia’s businesses are women-owned. According to U.S. Census Bureau data, women are majority owners of about 46% of businesses in Georgia, highlighting the strong presence and leadership of women entrepreneurs across the state.

Women-owned businesses with employees generate more than $5 billion in annual revenue across Georgia, reflecting the significant economic impact of women business owners throughout the state.
