Let's Go Need-Based Aid!

There are several income tax bills in play this Legislative Session. Our bill analysis compares them all: bit.ly/40IWy1u. HB 1001, HB 880 and SB 477 mostly benefit the wealthy while Senate Bill 520 would benefit working and middle-class Georgians.

Property Taxes are critical for school funding, as 66% of local funding comes from them.

The DREAMS Scholarship would be a long-awaited victory for all Georgians, let's make sure we fully fund it to really bring the dream alive.

Today Georgia's Senate passed its version of the AFY 2026 budget, and unfortunately some changes were made that don't reflect the needs of all Georgians.

Combined, Senate Bills 476 and 477 would leave an estimated deficit of more than $6 Billion per year in Georgia - this is more the state spends on Medicaid, this is more than the state spends on Higher Education. This would put programs Georgia relies on at risk.
