so many people speak this way on here because they clearly hold a lot of pent up resentment from never speaking back to people in school, etc. so they exhibit viciousness online to strangers they’ll never have to actually confront irl to reap that sense of bravery/accomplishment

My issue is that he holds strangers to the high moral standards that he doesn't uphold for the people he likes. He doesn't have to be so performative. He doesn't have to always talk out about other people.

Would be great to see this term grow legs. People have not yet processed and accepted the death of genuine, emergent subculture. Web 2.0's coincidence with the 2008 financial crisis & lack of lasting recovery in the "real" economy helped this along. Dinergoth is the result:
