Trip’s been great. Spent the last hour scrolling through X and KOL channels and realized how many people in this space are just egotistical douchebags with something to prove. I’ve been so locked in this year that I forgot how important it is to disconnect from the screen and reconnect with real people and real life. You’re not here to impress anyone either. You shouldn’t be trying to impress anyone. Too many people are obsessed with their image, their influence, and what a bunch of strangers on the internet think about them. Just be yourself. Remember why you came to this space in the first place. Freedom. Freedom from financial stress. Freedom from the job you hate. Freedom to spend time with the people you love. Freedom to travel. Freedom to live life on your own terms. Somewhere along the way, people start making money and become prisoners to an entirely different system. Their ego. Their reputation. Their followers. Their PnL. The opinions of people they don’t even like. Don’t escape one prison just to build yourself another one. Real freedom is having the ability to say “fuck you” to anything that takes you away from the life you actually want to live.
