@AmbHerzog Ireland and it's people are not anti Semitic. They do have a problem with invasion, occupation, forced famine and genocide.

Micheál Martin spends hours criticising Sinn Féin over a conflict that ended before many of its elected reps and voters were born. No criticism of Trump who is currently responsible for countless deaths including 168 children in #Minab Aithníonn ciaróg ciaróg eile @rtenews

Micheál Martin to face questions on his return from the USA as @Independent_ie, @IrishTimes, @businessposthq, @rte and @NewstalkFM editors rage over Martin not including Thatcher in his Churchill/Starmer brit love-fest, as he sucked up to a racist, rapist warmonger.

As a former Ambassador to the USA & an advisor to Rockwood Public Affairs, I was happy to provide @morningireland with a commentary on yesterday’s meeting at the White House. Overall, I thought @MichealMartinTD acquitted himself well, pushing back astutely on a couple of occasions. That’s the most that can realistically be achieved in the Oval Office these days. The Taoiseach’s performance was akin to a level par round of golf on a difficult course with lots of hazards. rte.ie/radio/radio1/c…

The prevalent reaction - that the Taoiseach acquitted himself very well - of journalists who cover President Trump is telling. The bottom line is that Micheál Martin performed solidly in difficult circumstances. jrnl.ie/6988078

@declanganley @MichealMartinTD effectively blamed Iranians (including the schoolgirls) for deserving the unwarranted US attack, by regurgitating US lies about a nuclear threat (Iraqui WMD vibes) while remaining silent about the US/Israel ethnic cleansing and genocide in Gaza. Not a foot wrong?

I’ve been listening to clips of what Irish Taoiseach Micheál Martin has (so far) been saying on his ‘St. Patrick’s Day’ American visit circuit. So far, to his credit, not a foot wrong.

After WW2, several leading German & French journalists were executed for the crime of using journalism to encourage “collaboration” with those committing war crimes. Several Irish journalists & commentators including Pat Leahy, Fionnan Sheehan, Dan O’Brien and more are encouraging Irish collaboration with those currently committing horrific war crimes - Trump and his administration. I don’t believe these Irish “collaborationists” and their colleagues in Irish media, who advocate that we ignore US war crimes or worse, should in time be placed on trial or for that matter ever face the prospect of execution. However, I do believe any Irish journalist or commentator advocating on-going collaboration with those committing war crimes should be deeply ashamed, shamed and shunned.

@GabeFin We certainly object to the 15% rule for signage which Is a travesty for democracy and community relations in otherwise quiet mixed streets in post conflict society.

What a gift it is to love & speak another language. This kid in the video speaks 6 languages. One of my grandkids is learning 3 (lives in LUX.), other 5 have French/English. I manage slow French, & a bit of Gaeilge. Yet, in my home city (Belfast) some object to signage in Irish

This scenario is basically what happened in the plantation of Ulster. Violent, wretched, Border Reivers from Scotland were encouraged to move to Ireland, & in return for their submission & loyalty to King James I they were allowed to be armed & to cleanse Irish from their land.

Imagine this. You’re a Palestinian farmer working this soil for generations. Then he appears. An Israeli settler from Eastern Europe pointing a gun at your face screaming: “This land is mine now.” “Get out. Never come back.”

In Canada, we held St Patrick’s Day parades in Ottawa, Montreal and in Toronto It’s a day celebrated around the world with our flag proudly raised wherever there are people who are Irish or would like to be. Meanwhile in Belfast, Troglodytes still try to suppress Irish culture.
