@DanielMcG3 I would say it’s a more relaxed culture more than anything. Players are still committed as ever but probably now realise that football isn’t the end all and shouldn’t control your life. Probably more enjoyment with that approach also. Less lows.

For a man who is up every morning at half 5 for work, in Garvaghey numerous nights weekly for meetings, refereeing at all youth and senior levels and attended every junior, intermediate and senior championship game this year, his commitment to Tyrone GAA can’t be disputed.

He listened to club players and delivered a fixture schedule to suit club players. We have Friday night games, games every weekend, leagues finished before championships started and a shorter season.

3 years on from the below tweet, the great work Dad has done to reenergise football in Tyrone has been rewarded with the clubs voting him in as the new County Chairman. We no longer have an outdated league schedule focusing solely around the County senior team.
