Thanks to @NCAuditorBoliek, it was uncovered that Cary Town Officials spent taxpayer dollars on extravagant dinners, custom Ray-Ban sunglasses, and a book about their town manager, just to name a few things. While officials waste your tax dollars on things like this, House Republicans are taking concrete steps to cut your property taxes. #ncpol #ncleg

Today, the House passed the Dominique Moody Act, strengthening accountability and allowing earlier intervention when child abuse is reported. A 6-year-old child weighing just 27 lbs and in a dog crate is a tragedy that should never have happened. We must do everything in our power to ensure this never happens again.

Vernetta Alston (D-Durham) laced with partially bleeped F-bombs from Senate Minority Leader Sydney Batch (D-Wake) is making the rounds today. #ncpol #ncga Batch acts as an "anger interpreter." The profanities are bleeped but not enough and Batch seems to calls Republicans "a bunch of little f*cking pussies," who can't pass a budget. Batch goes on to trash the Opportunity Scholarship Program (serving over 100K students, mainly low-income kids), saying it's for "rich kids can be taught history with our f*cking tax dollars."
