I’ve talked to many strategists, creators, and adjacent roles on YouTube in the past few years. From Beast team members to top YouTube strategists and everything in between. And this is the most vital thing I’ve learned: Never envy others people’s business. I have made half a million dollars in the past year as a freelance YouTube strategist. 90% of it as a solo operator. And the thing coming up most in conversation with these people was them asking me: “How do you work with so many creators?” Because I built my business around my core strengths. Not by design, but by failing and figuring it out. I love the chaos, novelty, and opportunity. It’s exactly how my brain is wired. I can’t systemize without having to hire people. I don’t want to hire people. I hate managing them because I suck at it. I found out the hard way by selling my first business. Here’s what I tell everyone who asked me that question: This business model works for me. I get results for my creators, make a difference, and enjoy it most of the time. If your brain isn’t wired like mine, you wouldn’t enjoy doing it my way. And the same goes the other way around. As an example, am a strategic YouTube advisor for some brands and an agency. I love hearing they do $200,000+/month from YouTube, but I could never run a business with systems and staff the way they do. If you love creating from A to Z, create. If you love consulting at the highest level for creators like me, consult. If you love building businesses that you can end up selling, build. Build around your strengths, and don’t envy others. Their way of doing things is most probably not optimized for your brain.

Two great days working with the team at @FastGoodCuisine From defining the strategy for 2026, teaching the thumbnail and editing team some of this old man’s tricks, to trying their brands Pepe Chicken and Pops Iced Tea for the first time. (Spoiler: if you are in France, get both.) Super excited to see where Charles and the team take it from here, and even more excited I get to play a tiny part moving into the next year with other legends like @Gablp1 Cedrik and @dabidoYT!

Been a bit quiet here, but for good reasons :) In a few weeks, my family and I are moving from the Netherlands to the United States🇺🇸 Many people have asked me why, so I thought why not sum up the main reasons we are moving: 1. Time. I work with predominantly US based YouTubers. Meaning that my days have been heavily skewed towards late starts and late nights. Days from 1pm to 1am aren’t rare. And I simply want more time with my family back. The easiest solution is living in a timezone where my career takes place. 2. Business Although I love my country of the Netherlands, for someone in my career there isn’t a lot of work. And sadly (or not 😜), this YouTube strategy thing happens to be what I’m good at. Besides that, I miss having lunch with my creator and strategist friends and obsess about YouTube in person. That will become so much easier. 3. Opportunity Getting this visa isn’t easy, and being “extraordinary” enough to get approved for my career so far was a great feeling! Being in a timezone aligned with my clients, being able to attend more in-person events, and having more time with my daughter and wife is an opportunity I can’t pass up on. Who knows, maybe the US will become our long term home and I’ll never return to live in Europe again. But for now, we take it year by year. If you are somewhere in Texas (where we will live) or LA (I’ll be there a few times next year), hit me up! We are flying to our new home with our cats December 4th. 🇺🇸

How much of a fraud do you have to be to do stuff like this? I am posting this to save any you the trouble of being lied to. I never signed an agreement with these guys. I have never personally met the founder. I didn't even know about them until people started reaching out to me about our case study with them. Now, every few weeks someone sends me a msg asking if I worked with them. Mini Katana LLC has never worked with Snowball Agency. We will never work with Snowball Agency. We recommend you avoid working with people who actively lie about the case studies on their website. In fact, I reached out to a friend on here who worked with them and he says the same thing. They suck. I am reasonable. I tried messaging. Got a "nah." Remove our logo from your X and LinkedIn banners dude. Remove it from your website. Stop being frauds.
