Marathon didn't crack top 10 today. For a AAA game from a huge brand studio, costing 250M to make (rumored), that's not good. Sales are not a spectrum. It's not a graceful slide from #1 to #100 in dollars. It's more like a cliff at Top 10 and then drops off steeply. I have no beef with Marathon or Bungie, and I'm hoping they do much better this weekend.

The production cost of Marathon is rumored to be 250 Million Dollars. Destiny 1 was 140 million. They spent more making a PvP only extraction shooter than they did making a gigantic looter shooter. Bungie needs to sell 7-11 million copies to survive. Insanity.
