@elohimvoices First, it was an example showing how you liberals are soft and easy for your emotions to get in the way. Second, him being 15 was long ago. I could care less what he did 30 years ago 💀 He was a teenager who was immature, like how all teenagers are. He actually did a favor for us

@GabrielPlayz74 you compared a baby throwing up to a 15 year old (3 years from being a legal adult able to vote btw) committing a kkk lynchmob style hate crime against black children

the fact that celebs have been canceled for saying vaguely racist shit like microaggressions, & mark wahlberg can just walk the planet with zero repercussions after doing this is fucking DIABOLICAL. H**G HIM PUBLICLY. im not kidding.

@elohimvoices He was a 15 year old kid. Any 15 year old in the world is immature. We all make bad decisions. But getting mad at him 30 years later is the least of our problems. You libtards are too woke. Probably will get mad at a baby for throwing up, and 20 years later canceling them.

@pk_georgie @steusmotus I went into Superman 2025 expecting a good Superman movie. It was horrendous. He was weak, soft, and too human. Henry Cavill is a far better Superman. I'll always love Henry Cavill over any superman.b

@steusmotus People went into Man of Steel hype after and were disappointed... People went into Superman 2025 expecting nothing and walked away loving the movie. To see an overhyped movie like MoS flop and an underhyped movie like Superman actually rise to meet MoS almost says enough.

Okay, here we go, folks. My Superman review. Now, if you've seen my posts, you know that MoS is my all-time favorite version of Superman. That being said, despite the constant Snyder vs. Gunn debates, im just a fan of Big Blue all together, so with that out of the way, let's do this. *spoiler free Let's start with the bad: 1: This version of Superman felt weak. While he does display some really great feats, the movie didn't really do much to make him seem like the powerhouse he is. 2: The traditional James Gunn off putting humor is on full display. As per usual, it gets in the way of what should be some impactful moments. Some of it was genuinely good, but most of it was a waste. 3: You can tell that this movie was a Frankenstein procedure. Some things got cut, and some other things added, and it made the movie feel a bit disjointed, and it caused some scenes to flop because there was a lack of buildup. I got whiplash from how scenes just suddenly switched from locations to plot points from night to day. The movie could have used maybe an extra 15 minutes to piece some things together. 4: (and I know this might be a hot take) Too much Krypto. Yes, I know. The puppy lovers are gonna come for me, but unfortunately, it is what it is. I loved Krypto being in the movie. I did not like how he was portrayed and how much screen time he took up. There were a few moments that fit really well, but for the most part, they could have scaled it back a little in exchange for more plot pivotal scenes. 5: The Justice "gang": Mr. Terrific was phenomenal. Guy Gardner was pretty mid. Hawkgirl was terrible. That's all for the bad moments. Now let's talk about the good, and boy oh boy, we're the good moments good. The high moments of this movie really do justice to Superman's character. He does a great job with his "human" moments (aside from a few times, he was a bit...dramatic). The focus on his naive sense of morality and innocent ideals made him feel really grounded and human. David embodies the character very well, and while I'll always love Henry, David carries the tourch very well. Lois was fantastic. Rachel Brosnahan did outstanding. From showing Lois as a hard-hitting journo, to a love interest that keeps Clark on his toes and even challenges him, her Lois was true to form and she might be my new favorite iteration of the character. Now, let's talk about Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. Im going to say something controversial. Nicholas Hoult's Lex Luthor is on the same level as Heath Ledgers Joker. There, I said it. His Lex was a brilliant and intelligent sociopath villain. His performance was honestly refreshing as far as villains go. I LOVED it. His pettiness, his vindictivness, and his charismatic ruthlessness came together to make a very stellar performance. You could feel his disdain and envy. His monologs felt like traditional villain antics, but very real. He is DEFINITELY my favorite Lex. All in all, despite it's handicaps, Superman is a fun movie. There are important scenes that truly capture the essence of the Superman mythos so perfectly. It felt right out of the books. All in all, I give the movie a 7/10. What I hope to see going forward is a bigger display of David's Superman. More powerful, more imposing, but definitely keep up with his humanity and charm. I'm also not sold on the suit, and I hope we get a better version, but for now, im happy with the direction we're headed in. Cheers, Superman fans, the legacy of The Last Son of Krypton is secure.

Now, let's address the big question. Was James Gunn's Superman "better" than Zack Snyder's Man of Steel? And the answer is... Not exactly, but maybe. Let me explain: Superman 2025 feels like the equal half of Man of Steel. Like, if you were to put them together, you'd get the PERFECT Superman on the big screen. While Man of Steel highlights the incredible and destructive power of an indestructible Superman, Superman 2025 highlights how "human" he is. DC comic characters are often described as "God's disguised as humans," and Man of Steel perfected that, but admittedly, it did leave a lot to be desired from the more charming humanity of Superman. Superman 2025 does the exact opposite. It almost makes Superman feel "too human." Yes, one of Clark's biggest qualities is his heart. His empathy, his kindness, and compassion, but this time, it was a bit too "soft." It missed a lot in the fact that while yes, Superman is kind and gentle, but at the end of that gentle nature is an extremely powerful being. So ultimately, the two films just feel like two halves of a whole. Both seem to pick up in the areas where the other is lacking. I hope that going forward, James will write his Superman to be more assured of himself and not be afraid to let David's Superman be larger than life. MoS is still my favorite, but in good consciousness, I can't deny that with a few improvements, this new Superman could be incredible.

I had to rewatch Batman v Superman to eliminate some of the sour taste that the new Superman left it in my mouth. Snyder gets it. Gunn doesn't. I don't give a damn if he didn't do the wacky comic shit, his films are pretty, more interesting, better written, they are just better.
