@haizoopRBLX Just get the world position of the mouse, calculate the rotation with head position + world mouse position, apply it to the head every frame with the run service, pretty easy, or use :Lerp to make it smoother, but it’s more advanced

Question for programmers on Roblox….💭 I wanna try to implement a similar idle/walk animation in the game I’m working on and include the head following the cursor. How would this (head following the cursor) be done through script and does it look like this is a custom animation?

@haizoopRBLX Tip: use RunService not while true for every frame loops, and if you don’t want the delay you have to do it on the client

Day 49 of learning how to script on Roblox! 👀✨ Since I just learned about scripting cframes, I wanted to try out a script on my own to see if I can get a part to follow me around!! I was able to get this done completely on my own and I'm really proud of myself!! 🥳 I'm sure there are more efficient and better ways to create this, I was really just experimenting... but hey, it works so far!! I can't express how great it feels to keep myself consistent into learning how to script. Believe it or not, it's taken me 7 years to actually discipline myself into learning 😅 For those who are just starting their scripting journey, DONT QUIT!!! You will seriously thank yourself in the long run!! 💖💖🫶🏼

Day 48 of learning how to script on Roblox! 👀✨ Today I learned about bindable events and bindable functions! This is a script I was able to learn through BrawlDev's tutorial on advanced scripting! The best way I can explain what this script is doing (from my understanding) is the Bindable script is waiting for a signal and Bindable2 is the script that takes action when that signal is met. This is pretty cool stuff to learn about and I can definitely see myself using this!! 🫶🏼 A lot of people have been asking me how I have been retaining information... the method that has worked best for me is learning the script and then rewriting it repeatedly until I'm able to write it on my own. Then I kind of dissect the script and figure out ways I can use it for my own project I'm working on, which helps me greatly on having a better understanding!! I also make sure not to overwhelm myself, so I stick to one subject per day and on the weekends I go through everything I learned again just to make sure I understand!! 💖

Day 46 of learning how to script on Roblox! 👀✨ Today I learned about mobile buttons and context input!! This stuff is slightly confusing, for some reason I couldn't get the image to show up on the button but other than that everything else seems to work fine! This is a script I was able to learn by following BrawlDev's tutorial! 🫶🏼💖 I definitely will be practicing this kind of script and learning more about it before the end of today!! If anyone has any tips or is able to better explain, please do!! 😅

Day 43 of learning how to script on Roblox! 👀✨ No image only because I wasn’t hands on today!! However, this doesn’t mean I wasn’t able to learn anything 🫣 So what I did today was spend some time looking through some other tutorials and dev forum to see how to implement trading in games since that’s something I would like to potentially implement in my own game. It definitely is advanced and the only reason I wasn’t hands on is because if I go too far ahead of myself I would not be able to retain any information 😩 So what I have been able to kind of figure out is trading is scripting by using remote events (please correct me if im wrong)! I’m still pretty fresh to this whole remote events thing and I wouldn’t say it would be something I’m comfortable with scripting on my own yet… but I still feel like I have come really far! 🫶🏼💖 I wonder if I would be “advanced” by day 100 with how consistent I’ve been 🤔

Day 41 of learning how to script on Roblox! 👀✨ This took be about 3 hours (and some help from a friend) to figure this script out on my own without looking up how to do it!! I feel really proud of myself, I can definitely say TweenService is in fact engraved in my brain now!! 😂 Honestly, the most satisfying feeling is finally solving something after a painful and frustrating amount of time. It like I can breathe!! The thing I was stuck on was originally was the button would hover from the corner instead of the center. It took me a WHILE to figure out I had to adjust the anchor point to get the result I wanted... 🤦🏼‍♀️

@haizoopRBLX There is a bug in that script! If you add a killbrick after you make the connections, it won’t work

Day 38 of learning how to script on Roblox! 👀✨ Today I learned about Collection Service and tags! What was explained to me was by using this service and tags, I won't need to insert a script to each individual part if it's going to be doing the same thing (if that makes any sense). I don't really find myself needing to use some of these tag callings for the game I'm currently working on but it's still pretty useful information to know! For those who do programming on Roblox... do you usually use these tag lines? 🤔 Since I have the next 3 days off, I think I'm gonna rewatch the entire advanced scripting series again tomorrow just to really get this all engraved in my brain and make it feel more natural to type it out. I'll also be learning about module scripts tomorrow which I'm really excited for!! 🫶🏼💖
