Day 1 tracking SuperGrok Heavy.
Per leaked xAI support emails (via @piunikaweb):
April said Heavy gets "100+ videos per reset."
May revised it to ">80 per 12 hours."
Today: hit my rate limit at generation 18.
In 2.5 hours.
As of this morning, xAI changed the Heavy
tier description from "Near-unlimited usage"
to "Highest usage limits."
Top tier. Quietly downgraded.
i m coming with the receipts now. watch the bs reply i m about to get from @grok
#GrokImagine @grok @xai

I've introduced HR 8470, the Surveillance Accountability Act, with @RepBoebert.
It requires a probable cause warrant before the federal government can search your private data — even if that data is held by a third party.
Warrantless searches are unconstitutional.

@redpillb0t Can Bill Gates please just go back to focusing on making windows NOT suck...
English

Bill Gates proposes the use of gene sequencing, AI and satellite data to make crops "climate resilient", in order to "improve the lives of over 500 million farmers".
"We don't just want these improvements to be in the lab—we want them to scale up. We're impatient to see this done."
Why would a man who believes there are too many humans care so deeply about improving the lives of farmers?

Got a notification like this on my phone today.
Every Android developer must now identify themselves to Google.
Or your app gets removed.
I build apps. This is my notification.
I don't care giving Google my passport and license.
But it's an overreach.
Not all apps are here to make money.
Some help people. Some are niche.
Some developers are Russian, Chinese, or from countries with less trust with Google.
And we all pay $99 a year for the privilege.

English

@TheGeorgePu Funny thing the deepsearch showed the usage left it was 20 and now they removed how many deepsearch usage is lfe and this annoying computer popup which u cant close at all they also keep removing good models

English

Perplexity users just got nerfed.
Deep research was unlimited. Now it's 20 a month.
Normal search is gated to 200 a week.
No email. No announcement. Nothing.
What I subscribed to is not what I got.
Asked for refunds. Denied.
Complained on Discord. Banned.
The moderator called it 'responsible evolution'.
You paid for unlimited. You got robbed.
And they won't even let you complain about it.

English

@TheGeorgePu Perplexity has been slowly nerfing their services. Its a shame it was a great tool
English

@farzyness Maybe Americans would like ai more if we weren't the ones absorbing all the costs and the ones paying the premiums for access.
English

It's becoming super obvious that most people in the US do not like AI.
But there's an easy way to fix this.
It's actually super simple.
AI companies pay for every home's electricity and water bill in the counties where data centers are built.
Easy.
You literally start proving out the abundance thesis the second those data centers get approved.
Per Grok 4.20, there's roughly 50k homes in an average county in the US, with an average yearly utility bill for electricity and water of roughly $3k per year.
That's roughly $150m per year per county.
Each one of the biggest data center hyperscalers can very easily afford this.
You'll have counties TRIPPING OVER THEMSELVES to get a data center built in their region.
It's such a no-brainer solution.
zerohedge@zerohedge
The US social mood is turning dramatically negative on AI
English

Why wouldn't people want the data center? It's jobs in their community! High paying jobs with good benefits!
More jobs brings more local taxes, demand for more housing, restaurants, good stores , etc! It will enrich the areas economy!
I don't understand why people don't want jobs in their communities?

Just because the majority don't agree with you doesn't mean you're morally right.
I mean listen to yourself. You're saying that we have to agree with you or else you'll call us followers. How hypocritical.
Bro, we voted for Trump knowing that he said he'd do this. If you voted for him, and you don't like him because of this. Then you are the minority in the party and you thought wrong.
English

Time to piss off my own side.
I’m not part of any party or movement. I support what MAGA is trying to do; put this country back where it belongs.
But let’s be honest… some of y’all are getting just as unhinged as the people you criticize.
Blind loyalty isn’t strength. It’s laziness.
Supporting President Trump doesn’t mean agreeing with everything he says or does. That’s not loyalty, that’s worship. And last I checked, he’s a man, not a messiah.
The left has their version of this. Now the right’s starting to mirror it, and nobody wants to admit it.
So here’s the uncomfortable question; when was the last time you had an opinion that didn’t come from Trump or some influencer telling you what to think?
If your beliefs only exist inside someone else’s script, they’re not really yours.
Think for yourself. That’s the whole point.
English

BREAKING: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth lifted the suspension of Army pilots who flew two Apache helicopters that hovered outside Kid Rock’s home during a training mission, saying there will be no investigation.
“Thank you Kid Rock…pilots suspension LIFTED. No punishment. No investigation. Carry on, patriots,” Hegseth wrote on Twitter
Some straight-up banana republic stuff.
English

@hari_amoor @VistaSlayer @elrond25 @FFmpeg As someone who can program in both I would choose C, but I prefer odin personally, I would never trade dacade battle tested libraries for shiney new rust libraries in production personally.
English

@VistaSlayer @elrond25 @FFmpeg Yet for some reason, we see tons of C codebases moving to Rust, but not the other way around.
Once again, you're in a cult.
English

@ericmmatheny You should probably look up the cold war, then look up all of the cyber attacks against the U.S.
