Tragic incident in Bhandup One person lost his life and 10 others were injured after falling into a pit at an under-construction SRA building site near Metro Mall, Bhandup (W), late last night. The victims were reportedly guests attending a function at the nearby Matoshri Marriage Hall. Emergency teams, including the Mumbai Fire Brigade, Police, and 108 Ambulance, rushed to the spot and carried out rescue operations. The deceased has been identified as Bhalchandra Falle (25). Serious questions need to be asked about safety measures at construction sites. How was such a hazard left unsecured? Accountability must follow.
