Late last year, I was given the chance to own a small piece of festival history — but, more importantly, something deeply meaningful from the estate of Bonnaroo’s original visionary: Jonathan Mayers.
It includes an unused ticket from the very first Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in 2002, along with a handful of special laminates and other stubs from the years that followed.
So here they are. I wanted to share these not just for anyone who might be curious, but to honor Jonathan — and to say that these pieces have found a home with someone who genuinely cares about preserving what they represent, and the person who held onto them for so long.
The impact, the magic, the memories — thank you. 🦉🖤
