Getting shit done today with a Raised Fist soundtrack. Great swedish band I used to listen a lot when i was young. Fucking 24 years ago...good times. Unfortunately today I feel like "Raised Fist" is a term that lost its way.

@wesleytypes I put 32 hours into Starfield and I had to stop. Bethesda is a prime example of the generational talent gap. So fucking brutal.

@kiwitalkz What specifically about Starfield would make it CPU bound? @grok can you try to answer that?

So Nate The Hate has said that the development of Starfield for Switch 2 hasn't been a smooth process (no surprise) my guess is the CPU is a huge bottleneck. If Switch 2 doesn't get Starfield and it gets internally cancelled, I can't see how GTA 6 comes to Switch 2 as it will be even more CPU intensive than Starfield. I've had a source say otherwise but I don't believe him at all lol.

Exodus is progressing nicely. Still think they announced WAY too early. But I'll be there when it's out.

I keep lists of different media that I want to get around to eventually. It's beyond overwhelming sometimes to see how many massive franchises are saved in there The relief is immeasurable when I attempt some long book or game series and I don't like it. Off the list with you!

Minishoot Adventures gets compared to Zelda a lot but there’s a few things similar to Fantasy Zone as well. Enemy design, bullet physics and the way enemies turn red when taking damage. Developer SoulGame Studio must be fans.

I really really REALLY wanted to like Starfield. I even pre-ordered the premium edition to play early. Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Skyrim are some of my favorite games ever. I was expecting/wanting a Mass Effect x No Man's Sky + Skyrim. This does look really good! But then I remember that fucking main quest and how brutal it was. All the quests I played were fucking dumb and repetitive. The characters bland, all safe with no personality. It came to a point where I was literally just pushing 'A' to skip everything. With all this "free time" maybe I'll try again...I would probably want to start from scratch. Or just wait for The Expanse & Exodus.

This was a fun chat centered around gaming discourse's negative vibe. I argue it's always been there, but has more recently been commodified by people who don't play or understand games, and wouldn't have a prayer of resonating with an audience without the incessant negativity.

@longislandviper Who are the people always negative and don't play games? I think I know who you are talking about. But from what I've seen they do play games. And claiming they don't understand games is very general. What don't they understand? I guess I'll watch and see what you think.
