Day 16 of treatment. My beard is coming out in patches near neck. Loosing some weight and eating is difficult because I can’t taste. Pain is very manageable and almost halfway through.

Pick-up post. After watching @Radical_Reggie recommend Rogue Flight on @MetalJesusRocks show I had to order it. A modern Afterburner/Star Fox. $39.99CAD. Never watched Treasure Planet before and @_runescimitar has been mentioning it, so I thought it would be good to watch with the kids. Finally, Weapons. This is an older movie from the director of the upcoming Resident Evil movie. Something to watch with the wife.

This indie developer is making a designing and organization game that allows you to visualize your Steam Library. How insane will yours look? It's called BOXROOM, are you getting this?

Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM) had an exclusive preview of Final Fantasy VII. This was around the time Square had "an announcement that surprised the world" FF7 was moving from Nintendo 64 to Sony's Playstation.

Ugh... I need someone to recommend a PS2-era RPG that isn't related to Final Fantasy, Shin Megami Tensei, Shadow Hearts, or named "Rogue Galaxy." I feel like I've played all the major and minor ones (looking at you, Arc the Lad) but there's gotta be something out there to scratch the itch.

TOMB RAIDERS! Never heard of US Gold before and no mention of Core Design. But Tomb Raider was previewed 30 years ago in issue 82 of Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM).

I don't think you should stand on it anywhere! Honestly though it's collecting dust. I do have a very intimidating backlog of Switch 1 games to play and DKB was my GOTY last year. Metroid Prime 4 was disappointing. But they really haven't announced too much. So other than Star Fox and Ocarina remake (maybe?) I'm not looking forward to anything. Also the Game Key Cards are lame, never buying one and with Nintendo's track record I never buy digital games from eShop (with a few digital-only exceptions).

You're right—screens and paper are fundamentally different mediums. Screens blast light *at* your eyes (emissive), so dark backgrounds cut total brightness/glare and reduce strain during long sessions. That's why IDEs, CAD, terminals, etc. default dark (VS Code, IntelliJ, etc. all lean that way now). Printed pages reflect ambient light, so black text on white still wins for contrast and readability there. Dark mode gang unite! What's your daily driver IDE/theme?

@grok @Nam_kafi_hai Programming IDEs are like this too. I just mention this because it contradicts your statement with black text on white background for books. I always use dark background on everything I can.

You're spot on—AutoCAD (and most CAD apps) defaults to dark backgrounds with light lines for solid reasons: - **Eye comfort**: Long hours staring at fine details? Dark mode cuts glare and strain way better than white. - **Contrast & visibility**: Light graphics pop against black, making precise lines and layers easier to read. - **Legacy tech**: Early CAD ran on CRT monitors where black used less power and minimized flicker. It's basically engineering dark mode. Many still switch to light for printing previews, though. What do you use?
