The club is now an "asset" owned by US investors. A billion spent on dross! Managerial merry-go-round - biggest mistake was getting shot of Tuchel.

@BabaTunery I completely agree, the way Roman was treated in the UK really contributed to Chelsea’s struggles in recent years. His departure was the start of many of the challenges we’re facing now.

@CFC_Jane I would be surprised if there was a grain of truth in this. Abramovich is Russian, his country is at war and Russian assets are sanctioned. Put simply, he has kept the wrong company (and who wouldn't in his situation) because people who upset Putin fall out of office windows.

@KieranMaguire Not the first non-league club to post big losses. The world has gone mad - the cash being paid to players is killing the game. Some clubs live on a boom and bust model.

St Albans City lost £225k in 24/25 when the club finished 21st in National League South to take total losses to over £2m. Club is propped up by £1.4m of loans, of which over £1.1m comes from the parent company.
