@Taz19807 It most certainly can be. And I can say this from my nine years of experience (unlike your measly 5).
English

@GammaKrush Dude I retired from school bus cause my kids have grown up and don’t need to be home for them now.
Snow is not the reason for bus accidents
English

@GammaKrush And the point is, when the weather is "normal and expected", they don't need to be indestructible in order for us all to realize that they should still be running.
English

@dacaldar But on Monday's case: a group of individuals decided to not take a risk in getting in a bus getting into a collision caused by the weather that's the reality. Buses are not as indestructible as you'd like to think.
English

@GammaKrush It was also 6:30.
you're saying busses should NEVER drive.
Zero risk is an illusion, unless you want to live in a medical bubble and never leave the house.
All people, even children, must experience risk in order to live.
The discussion is on how much is reasonable. Mon was.
English

@dacaldar I did go outside (6:30 AM: which was probably way earlier than you taking the kids to curling practice). But by your logic of "more risks on a warm sunny day", you're basically saying buses should drive no matter how bad the weather conditions and roads are.
English

@GammaKrush It's obvious you didn't go outside.
If you consider that a dangerous day, you shouldn't be going outside at all, ever.
There's more other risks on a warm sunny day to the bus than those things you listed.
If some rural corner of the region was worse, let them keep kids home.
English

@Taz19807 You got that right. At least you're doing the right thing by not driving a school bus anymore.
English

@Taz19807 No it's not "fake news" when it's the bus companies that say this themselves. imgflip.com/gif/8dzkrx
