Let's talk about why DeFi, DePIN and Gaming are the only real use cases for crypto with mainstream potential. DeFi, from stablecoins to lending to perp-dexes and more - it's all about creating a global, open alternative to every financial service you use today. My ex-tradfi friends say these products might seem complicated but Wall Street has had them for decades. DeFi has just made it accessible to the masses. This has been proven out and more and more younger people will want to use DeFI. DePIN, this affects so much that is not crypto - AI, gaming, storage, CDNs, hosting. Its established how much money goes into internet infrastructure each year. New companies are going to want a whole new level of security, scale and privacy at a cheaper price. It’s how they will compete against the incumbents. Gaming with crypto tokens and NFTs brings true ownership of assets and an open economy to everyone's favorite past-time. Its the only crypto consumer app outside of money that has any value. Plus it leverages both DeFi and DePIN. It’s easily accessible to the masses and it requires just a few breakout hits. All other options are DOA. With DeFi, DePIN and Gaming there are no gatekeepers. You can go direct. Contrast this with music, where the best tracks are controlled by labels. Audius offers improved sound quality, higher artist pay, and lower user prices, but it won’t gain traction without hit music. Audius could have purchased SoundCloud at a bargain, gained their millions of users and songs, introduced their token, and boom. However, they didn't. Why? Because SoundCloud lacks hit music. So whether it's taking control of your own finances, building a more secure internet, or revolutionizing gaming, these are the only crypto use cases that matter.
