Haven't watched a single minute this year. First time in almost a decade I can say that. The Combine, once a true NFL "Event" is no longer viewed necessary for player evaluation by an alarming amount of NFL teams & even more scary, by college prospects.
Justis Mosqueda@JuMosq

Day 1 of the combine had a 37% participation rate, down 18% year over year compared to 2025. The 3 cone had a 50% participation rate pre-pandemic. It's just 13% now. It's getting very Pro Bowl for TV viewers: acmepackingcompany.com/green-bay-pack…

Sometimes a solution to a problem just falls right into your lap. That's what Tyler Biadasz looks like to me for the Packers. Why gamble on Sean Rhyan when you have a real upgrade available? Biadasz on 1- or 2-year deal, and draft a center.

TYLER BIADASZ-NO BRAINER! He would immediately solidify Packer's OL & bring back a bully, enforcer attitude this group is 100% missing. He's from Amherst, WI, was the Dave Rimington Trophy winner his last year in Madison ('19) & elected to Pro Bowl, '22. ⬇️Too good to be true⬇️

The last college "true" OG the Packers drafted on Day 2? Jason Spitz, Louisville, at 76 in 2006 & he was drafted as a Center. Not impossible, but damn near impossible in Green Bay. They draft Tackles & turn them into Guards. It just is.
Eli Berkovits@BookOfEli_NFL

@BloodyMcnally I wouldn't be opposed at all to taking a CB or DT at 52, but guard in the 2nd round isn't early

As I stated pre-draft, Pierce reminded me a lot of Jordy Nelson & chosen by the Colts w/the Packers original #53, they used to move up to get Watson. Vikings used 53 to move up to draft CB Andrew Booth Jr. major bust now playing in UFL, but traded him to Dallas for Nahshon Wright
Daniel Rotman@daniel_rotman15

I don’t think people realize how good Alec Pierce actually is… He’s likely not hitting the open-market regardless, so it’s a moot point. But if he did, I’d be all over that. Ideal fit.

@espnhomer Yes. As usual, you missed it. I CLEARLY differentiated between Superbowl era & Pre Superbowl era, including the number of NFL vs NBA teams. Go back & re-read, take a reading comprehension course or just give up. A critical thinking class might help you define "Context."

I missed the number of teams for Lombardi in his championships ...and why you have never mentioned that before..since you wanted to use it with Bill Russell. show me where you answered those questions.
Green & Gold Draft@GandGdraft

@espnhomer I did answer the question. You refuse to face the truth, so you shift the discussion as you always do. You're nowhere near as smart as you believe, you are just a master of shifting narratives when you are proven wrong. You do it, every-single-time.

@ajnate There are literally 100 different exhibits. Let's start with the decapitation of one of the greatest & most historic conferences in US history. There is no "player development" of any sort. "Branding" of a program is gone. The Bowl System could have been saved, instead destroyed

@GandGdraft I’m sorry that you’re upset that your favorite version of college athletics is changing. You being upset about it is not evidence that college athletics is ruined. But please…go ahead and enlighten me with your “2nd and 3rd order effects”. I’m sure you’re a very deep thinker.

"...The players absolutely deserve a piece of the pie." This is an opinion. The opinion that has begun to ultimately destroy college/amateur athletics. Typically comes from a bumpersticker phrase (like yours above) w/o foresight or understanding of 2nd & 3rd order effects.
Bob@ajnate

@GandGdraft @espnhomer You are completely missing the point. College athletics is a multi billion $$ industry and the players absolutely deserve a piece of the pie. Nobody cares what ex athletes think it’s doing to college sports. If it’s truly ruining it, then the money will dry up.

This is the perfect example of "No publicity is bad publicity." In a time without social media or "clicks" - this 20 seconds propelled Mel's career and began the "NFL Draft Industrial Complex." Without Mel Kiper, nothing today would have been possible.
Old Time Football 🏈@Ol_TimeFootball

BOTD Bill Tobin Who in the hell is Mel Kiper anyway? He’s never put on a jock strap, never been a coach, or administration and all of a sudden he’s an expert. Kiper has no more credentials than my neighbor, who is a postman that doesn’t have season tickets to the #NFL

1. Parsons: Best Def Player 2. Tom: Best OL (hurt most of season) 3. Kraft: Irreplaceable 4. Wyatt: Best Interior DL 5. Jenkins: Top OG 6. Jacobs: limited all year Yet, the team was literally an onside kick recovery away from winning the North & having a home playoff game.
Zach Kruse@zachkruse2

I don't necessarily disagree with this, but the Packers also made the biggest, flashiest trade in years with Micah Parsons in late August, and I don't think for a second that the 2025 season is framed in these terms if Parsons and Tucker Kraft wouldn't have gotten hurt. Alas.

@youbetcha1871 I laterally heard the callers & sports talk hosts, day after day, call for his firing. Go back and look at the first half of his first two seasons (1-4 in first 5 B1G games . Criticized for not being Dick or Bo. By his 3rd season when they missed the tourny, it was overwhelming

Nobody will admit it now, but.... The majority of Badger Basketball fans wanted Greg Gard fired within 2 years of his hiring. Remember that, people. Remember that.
John Steppe@JSteppe1

Tom Izzo on #Badgers HC Greg Gard: "I don't think Greg gets enough credit for what he's done."

@JoRy_MaMa Mmm...maybe. My recollection was, while definitely not universal, it was overwhelming. Perhaps you're correct, the loud few begat the narrative. Much like LaFleur.

@GandGdraft It was NEVER the majority. Not even close. It was a loud, very stupid, minority.
