Gander's Jack Faulkner was the leading scorer in the Herder playoffs with 25 points (7 G & 18A)

Jacques Allard finished 1st in scoring in 1968-69 with 126 points (50G & new record 76A)

50 Years ago on March 22, 1969 the Gander Flyers won the airport town's first Herder Championship, finishing a 4-game sweep of the Buchans Miners, outscoring the Miners 29-9 in the series. The Flyers finished 1st in the regular season with a 27-10-3 record.
