Bill Stout was Captain of Ganton during 1932 and 1933 and President from 1966 to 1969, when he was elected an Honorary Life Member. He was a strong and enthusiastic golfer of considerable ability. Find out more about Bill on our website: buff.ly/3U1xYWZ

The 17th at Ganton Golf Club is one of the longest par 3's in the country, measuring a mighty 246 yards from the back tees. A fantastic tee shot is required to get on the green in regulation on this hole and par is a great score.

Ted Ray joined Ganton in 1903. He was offered the position of Professional/Greenkeeper because of a recommendation from Harry Vardon. He had a philosophy reflected in the advice he once gave a golfer who wanted to hit the ball further, “Hit it a bloody sight harder, mate.”

Congratulations to Gary Brown, PGA, on his retirement as the head professional at Ganton. The Club welcome Oliver Adamson, PGA, as the new Head Professional, and wish him every success in his career at Ganton. Jodie Himsworth, PGA, will be joining the team to support Oliver.
