Update - L radicular leg pain & foot drop almost resolved Unfortunately symptoms evolved to become bilateral gluteal, pelvic & groin - 2 weeks ago When the pain got to 9-10/10 & I couldn't sleep / walk, I decided to forego watching the Hungarian Grand Prix & head to Urgent Care at PGH instead - raised CRP & neutrophilia MRI on Sunday at Fortius (amazing service) - raging bacterial disciitis & epidural abscess Don't tell anyone but it's affecting the psoas so I can't SLR 😆 So now in hospital awaiting PICC line and 2-3 months antibiotics 😕❎

R - 35 years ago, open procedure L - arthroscopic hamstring reconstruction - with successful return to skiing Either way, the procedures did nothing to prevent development of osteoarthritis - medial compartments most severely affected But then we know this from contemporary research - ACL recon doesn't prevent future OA. In fact it's associated with a slightly higher risk ....! 🧐
