Why did I do that?

As an Alberta conservative, my core values are rooted in practical, common-sense principles that prioritize family, freedom, responsibility, and community. I believe in small government. One that stays out of my way, keeps taxes low, and spends wisely, letting me keep more of their earnings. I believe family is the backbone of our society, where strong, supportive households raise the next generation with values of integrity and resilience. Self-reliance drives me to take charge of my own life, from running a small business to managing my personal affairs, without depending on bloated bureaucracies. I cherish individual freedom, the right to speak my mind, and the ability to make my own choices. I love my community. Neighbours helping neighbours, rooted in shared values of hard work and respect for our Western heritage. As an Alberta conservative, I stand for a life where I'm free to build my future, supported by family and community, with government as a partner, not a boss.

Anyway. I'm sure the fact that there are no results for Edmonton's mayoral race at 10 o'clock after the province changed vote counting rules will do wonders to smooth over the relationship between the two levels of government.

Ten years ago today, Canadians chose a more hopeful path. I’ll never forget that night in 2015. The energy, the optimism, and the belief that together, we could build a better future. A decade later, we’ve lifted hundreds of thousands of people out of poverty, strengthened and grown the middle class, built a $10-a-day child care system, led the fight against climate change, advanced reconciliation, and made Canada more inclusive and fair for everyone. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who was part of this journey and believed that better is always possible. 🇨🇦

@GuyQuenneville @kris_sims @WSOnlineNews The teachers are sacrificing their pay to finally address the under funding of public education by the govt that did not address enrollment increases. This govt encouraged everyone and anyone to move to Alberta to artificially boost the economy, but did not fund it.
