What week for Trojan baseball. Swept Southlake and knocked off a top ranked Byron Nelson today. 4-1 in a very tough district and looking to battle Byron again on Tuesday. Shout out to Zac and Mike for pitching a solid game vs a great team today. I went 1/3, RBI, SB, R and after 22 games batting 340 with OBP 468. Big wins this week in district play taking both games vs Southlake Carroll. Our starting pitching has been lights out @ethanreitz6 Braden Bowers and we are hitting well. Tonight I made a big catch in top 6th tied up 2-2 and then hit game winner in bottom 6th. We are 3-1 in district with Byron Nelson up next. Through 4 district games hitting 300, 3RBI, and 3R. On spring break this week but have a busy week ahead. Have 3 district baseball games verse Southlake and Byron Nelson and tomorrow I have a visit to @tamut_baseball with @Brewsterc29 and @BobbyVelascO0. Really excited to learn first hand about all the amazing things the Eagles have going with their move to NCAA D2, new facilities, their academic programs, and how I might fit into all that. Looking forward to an amazing week.

As a hitting coach, I watched players come back to the dugout after making an out. They'd look at me and ask, "What'd you see?" I'd go through the mechanical stuff like back side collapse, front side energy, head came off the ball. Man, it was wearing me out! Finally, I realized I needed to simplify. So the next time a player came back asking what I saw, I just asked him: "Did you get a good pitch to hit?" That usually stopped the conversation. Because if you don't "get a good pitch to hit," it's hard to get a hit. This works in our lives too. Whatever task I take on, I ask myself: Am I putting myself in position to succeed? Did I eliminate distractions? Did I prepare? Did I practice? Am I ready to produce? In life, your "good pitch to hit" probably isn't the same as mine. That's the beauty of it all. I've swung at some bad pitches in my life... so have you. But one bad swing doesn't always end the at-bat. Hitting is a lot like life. It can be simple, but not easy.

The Eagles hold on to defeat Wiley University 12-10! The Eagles take on A&M Victoria in a three game series starting Thursday. 🦅🦅🦅

Had a competitive 2nd Tourney with my teammates. We went 2-2-1 against some really good competition. Struggled at the plate a bit, but had many great opportunities defensively. Got 1 more tourney before we kick off district play in 6A-4 Texas. After scrimmages and 2 tourneys I am hitting 355 with OPS of 899. #1%bettereveryday
