@whathifi I’ve noticed with Sonos that you have to use their supplied HDMI cable or their soundbar won’t work.

@For_Film_Fans Saw this a few weeks ago. Sucks---I have the WB DVD, but it wouldn't play (known problem with older WB DVD's). Still paid $3.99 for it. "Why can't I go with you?" "Because I'm gonna get caught".

Brad Pitt in Babylon is still the performance I think should’ve won him an Academy Award. I know I’ve written about Pitt a few times today, but he unleashed a vulnerability in this performance that felt so real. He’s better here than as Cliff Booth & he’s great as Cliff Booth.

@screenrant That’s because production was rushed. There’s another season of Starfleet Academy and two seasons of Strange New Worlds to come out. We’ll be good for a while yet.

#NeverForget that Michael Mann had been working on HEAT (1995) since the late ‘70s and shot what is essentially a “rough draft” as the made for TV movie, L.A. TAKEDOWN which aired on NBC August 27, 1989 intended to be a pilot for a weekly series.

How to Politely Reject a Low-Salary Offer? Dealing with job offers can get tricky, especially when their salary doesn't match what you were hoping for. It's important to handle situations like this with professionalism and courtesy. Here's a template to help you nicely turn down a low-salary offer while keeping the door open for future opportunities. Subject: Response to Job Offer – [Your Name] Dear [Hiring Manager's Name], Thank you very much for offering me the [Job Title] position at [Company Name]. I am genuinely excited about the opportunity to contribute to your team and am ingrained in the vision and values of your organization. After careful consideration, I regret to inform you that I must decline the offer due to the salary package. While I understand and appreciate the constraints, the offer does not meet my current financial requirements or align with the market value for someone with my skills and experience. I am still very interested in [Company Name] and would love to stay in touch for future opportunities that might be a better fit. Thank you once again for your time and the opportunity. Best regards, [Your Name] [Your Contact Information] Tips - Always be polite and professional. - Keep it clear and to the point. - Don't forget to show gratitude. - Let them know you're open to future opportunities with the company.

We listed our old house for rent 3 days ago. This morning I got my first ever call from a potential tenant. My very first one. I wish I was joking. "Hi, I have a couple questions about your listing." "Ok, fire away..." "I have an ongoing medical malpractice case and was wondering if it was okay if I pay the whole year up front because I'm not working." "Umm.. yeah, I think that would be ok? I don't see why not... I'm guessing that's why you're not working? If it's confidential, that's fine, just curious..." "Yeah, that's why... it has to do with my foot and I can't work." "Ok, what other questions do you have?" "Do you have any dog restrictions? We have a 10 year old pitbull... she's my childhood dog... she's so sweet... never had any issues with her." "Ummm... I think the HOA has restrictions on that breed." (Idk if they do, I just made that up) "Ok, just let me know. Next question. I do have a felony on my record for vehicular manslaughter. The person survived and ended up with only a broken collarbone... and umm... my dad would be living with me, he's my caregiver, he also has a felony on his record but he already did his time. It was his first felony and will be his last felonly." "Umm..." "Yeah... I know it's a lot going on but I don't have any evictions or anything... but I did break a lease when I was 18 because I'm a single mom and well, um... some things we're going on and I was just in mommy mode... but I'm about to pay all that off once I get this medical malpractice money." "Umm... we have a few other applications we're going to review and I'll get back to you." I think I'm going to sell the house.

This is something else. A restaurant that would charge extra for: Silverware insurance? Booth fee? Straws? Table cleaning fee? I'm surprised they didn't add a fee for printing the flippin' receipt! And then they have the audacity to add the tip in the bill as well and leave room for another tip on top of that! This is clearly a prank! It has to be! But if it wasn't, what would your reaction be to seeing a bill like this come to your table? 😏😬

Ridley Scott’s Black Rain has so many things that I love in life. Andy Garcia. Michael Douglas. The Yakuza. Neo-noir. I don’t speak the same language as those who dislike this film. I don’t understand you. Coming in at just over 2 hours, the film’s length & pacing is perfect.

Love Classical Music and Movies 🎺🎻💖🎥🎬
Before "Heat," Michael Mann directed "L.A. Takedown" (1989), a TV movie with an almost identical plot to the 90s classic, but with a much smaller budget. Although "L.A. Takedown" is inferior to its definitive 1995 version, the shootout in downtown Los Angeles is very well done and demonstrates Michael Mann's great skill in filming action scenes.

That scene in Lost (2004–2010) when Sawyer tells Jack about the stranger he met in a Sydney bar… only for Jack to realize it was his father’s final night alive. That’s when it hits this show is playing a much bigger game.

@TheMonologist Kick-ass theme song. Terrific villains. Great script. Awesome climax. Yeah, yeah totally agree Tanya was too young BUT it is a Bond film after all-and since it’s Roger Moore, it’s one of my favourites of the Connery/Moore/Dalton/Brosnan films.
