@PremiershipYrs That ball movement just before he shot for his second goal. Stunning!

@Damon_Shaw Profile visits on X are private, so I can't confirm directly. Based on your global futsal coaching experience and UEFA ties, the most famous person likely to have visited is Cristiano Ronaldo, who honed his skills through futsal.

Hey, @grok, who was the most famous person to visit my profile? It doesn't need to be a mutual, don't tag them, just say who it was

#CoachingTip
Be careful what you praise.
📣 Players repeat what gets applauded.
🚫 Rewarding aimless clearances trains bad habits.
👏 Praise creativity and courage instead.

@DanAbrahams77 I read this and think of teaching primary school children 😂

Unusual things for coaches to celebrate:
-‘uncoachable' players - they help you improve your teaching skills
-players with 'poor attitudes' - they help you appreciate individual differences
-players who won't team - they help you learn more about task & social cohesion
-players who are late often - they give you a chance to be a psychological and socio-cultural detective (why are they late so often?)
-players who gossip - what can you learn from their gossip?
-players who are crippled by anxiety - can you shift their ability to manage their inner world…even just a little?
-players who hide on the pitch or the court - can your session design help them experience what it is to be brave under pressure?
Coaching has never been nor will ever be simple or easy…

Spain, who had been trialling using throws-ins or kick-ins, returns to only using kick-ins as is standard in FIFA Laws of the Game.

@KitSion @EnglandFutsal The power of the positive touch! Sole control and push out in the example shown. NI’s Darius Roohi is excellent at it. Can totally unbalance a defensive player.

Enjoyed sharing concepts around travelling with the ball with coaches on the @EnglandFutsal Summer Series last night. One concept we explored was the idea of 'receiving in motion', the skill to receive on the move, attacking the defensive blind side to change the attacking flow.

@DanAbrahams77 Can you get yourself down to Carrington, please?! There’s a No.9 there who needs your help… 😭

“Hi, come in...”
“Thanks boss”
“I’ve noticed a few things in training lately. I’ve been trying to work on your movement but you seem really disinterested. You look distracted”
“To be honest I just don’t think that’s what I need right now. I don’t think movement is my problem.”
“Ok, you think I’m working on something that you’re already awesome at” (empathy statement)
“Well, I’m not gonna say I’m awesome, but I think I’m good”
“I think you are too. What do you think the difference between good and awesome is? (Divergent question...coach as guide)
“Probably being able to lose my marker a few more times a game I guess”
“I’d agree with that. What do you think you’ve got to do to improve that?” (Divergent question...coach as guide)
“I have to work physically to be a bit quicker off the mark. I also need to think about timing and direction of runs”
“Ok, I see what you’re saying there. With your permission I’d like to help you. What can I do to help?” (Divergent question...coach as follower...asking permission)
“Probably nothing during training as I find it distracting. But maybe we can work together after training on it?”
“Let’s do that. We’ll create some ideas together to help continue to work to awesome”
