The only candidate who can say they’ve actively fought with the movement for Right to Counsel, Rent Caps, & Just Cause is @a_osmanuct. He’s been in community meetings, on doors, & at the Capitol. Other candidates are surfing the wave of the housing justice movement.

@decognizable If you want I am always available to discuss. I work on a lot of important issues. There are folks that work on one and not the other. One issue isn’t the only consideration. Maybe very important but not the only consideration

The only reason ANY other candidate can say they have a position on these key issues facing the CT state legislature is because of the movement Abdul has been a core organizer in. @Gary4CT knows this, & as a constituent I’m very disappointed in his Steve Winter sign in his yard.

@Gary4CT Thanks for the reply, Gary, all I ask for here. A $15k bond seems real low for someone willingly selling Fentanyl laced weed. The mass OD event in New Haven several years ago could have been a mass casualty and something this case could tell people you will be punished harshly.

@Gary4CT There are areas that can be improved but this is sending a message that lacing weed with fentanyl and selling it is pretty much a misdemeanor. This guy was dealing death and gets a $15k bond?

@scott_wheeler12 someone had been shot or not. I questioned if that was the intent. I used the carrying of an illegal firearm for protection to demonstrate the issue with the construct of the bill. Then I developed the fix that is in the bill allowing for what the mayors say they were
