What is the cultural precedent of people who stream coding sessions? They're educational without being classes or tutorials. They're not documentaries. Slice of life? (Gaming streams are just sport, I've a mental shelf to understand "watching sport" as an activity.) Is it new?

It always makes me smile that lispers use the term "earmuffs" to refer to variables named *foo*. #variables" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">lisp-lang.org/style-guide/#v… As far as I'm aware this particular name isn't used in other communities. Paired * is rare elsewhere, but lisp programmers are no stranger to paired syntax!

I usually code or write or something on vacation but I just couldn't do it this time. I reread some books I like, drew things, slept a lot, made up stupid amazing duolingo in-jokes with my kid. Probably a better use of time, but it feels weird to be "not productive" for so long.
