@IamSuperMassive Yeah exactly. Fortnite gave users a compelling reason to go back (BR). T'was before the stores and Travis Scott. Make me care about the space first and the rest will follow. There needs to be at least two for the promise of interop gear to pan out.

@Gate_Nk Have a feeling you're trying to think too skeuomorphically. But yes. Broadly agree. It's kind of chicken and egg tho.
If you're Fortnite the BR brings all the boys to the yard then you can intro them to other stuff.
Same for shopping malls, same for meta platforms.

@IamSuperMassive At some point, people are going to have to stop focusing so much on creating lush empty scapes and actually provide users with a reason to spend time in these spaces. What that looks like IRL: social, work, art & exhibitions, games & leisure, education, retail/shopping, services.

Yesterday I did something nobody’s ever done before: ran a marathon in the metaverse. Or at least I though so but Karma reset me so I went back to the beginning and started again. ULTRA.
In total: 9 hrs, 64kms (39.7 mi)
$100k raised for Great Ormond St.
