#ordinals is basically a new way to inscribe data on the #BTC blockchain. The smallest meajurement of one #BTC is a satoshi. With every block beeing verified by miners the miner pool that solved the equation gets rewarded. We all know how it works. So with #BTC beeing so scares and a limited amount of #BTC beeing mined. We already see a demand for satoshis increase because of the demand of ordinals. Now we have people that hunt for satoshi mined or not beeing used. So they can use it. How can they use right? Well 1 satoshi has 4mb of data that can be mined or verified on the #BTC blockchain. That means we can upload gifs, jpeg or any data. There are blocks in a satoshi. So sometimes you see a nft collection beeing mined on the #btc blockchain. It works differently as how #eth works. Or any other smart contract blockchain. On a smart contract blockchain there can be minted a unlimited amount of NFT’s.. or data. On btc however it’s limited. That means true scarcity and a piece of history that’s beeing build on #BTC with ordinals.
#ordinals is still in its baby shoes. And we can see people build a infrastructure and ecosystem.
