#LEUC : La 35ème édition des #GayDays de #DisneyWorld sauvés in extremis ! Pendant quelques jours, au début de février 2026, la communauté #LGBTQ+ internationale a cru perdre l’une de ses traditions les plus emblématiques... Une rumeur de pause ( interprétée par plusieurs comme une annulation ) des célèbres " Gay Days " d’#Orlando a provoqué une onde de choc bien au-delà de la #Floride ! Depuis 35 ans, le premier week-end de juin transforme le #MagicKingdom en une mer de tee-shit et de polos rouges ! Une démonstration de visibilité devenue quasi rituelle pour des dizaines de milliers de personnes LGBTQ+ et leurs alliés... Alors quand les organisateurs officiels des " GayDays Orlando " ont annoncé, le 9 février dernier, une " pause " pour 2026, plusieurs y ont vu un inquiétant signe des temps ! Mais coup de théâtre : En date du 15 février 2026, l’événement est officiellement de retour... Et plus déterminé que jamais ! Une " pause " qui sonnait comme une annulation Dans leur communiqué initial, les responsables de " GayDays Inc " évoquaient une " décision difficile ", attribuable à une combinaison de facteurs qualifiée de " tempête " : - Complications liées à l’hôtel hôte, traditionnel point névralgique des exposants et des fameuses pool parties ! - Perte de commanditaires, dans un contexte économique et social instable ! - Défis nationaux, une allusion à peine voilée au climat politique de plus en plus hostile en Floride envers les personnes LGBTQ+ ! Dans un État où les tensions entre le gouvernement et les communautés #queer s’accumulent depuis plusieurs années, plusieurs ont interprété cette annonce comme un recul face à la pression politique. Pour une génération qui considère le rendez-vous d’Orlando comme un pèlerinage annuel depuis 1991, la nouvelle avait des airs de défaite ! Mais l'annulation n’aura tenu que 48 heures dans le cœur des participants ! Très vite, le #GayDaysAnyway s’est mis à circuler sur les réseaux- sociaux... Des commerçants locaux, des habitués " en rouge " et des promoteurs d’événements parallèles ont rappelé une vérité historique essentielle : les Gay Days n’ont jamais été un événement produit par @Disney ! À l’origine, il s’agissait d’une initiative spontanée ! En 1991, quelque 3.000 personnes avaient simplement décidé de se rendre au " Magic Kingdom " le même samedi, vêtues de rouge, pour être visibles, sans contrat, ni approbation officielle, juste une présence collective ! " Gay Days, ce n’est pas un contrat, c’est une culture ", a résumé un militant local dans les pages de l’Orlando Sentinel... " On n’annule pas une culture... On se présente tout simplement " ! Face à cet élan massif, les organisateurs ont rapidement rectifié le tir... Le 14 février, Josh Duke, copropriétaire de " GayDays ", l’a confirmé : " Gay Days Orlando n’a pas été annulé " ! Une 35ème édition hautement symbolique La saga des @GayDayS 2026 rappelle qu’une tradition peut dépasser les structures corporatives qui l’encadrent... Ce qui avait commencé comme un moment d’incertitude s’est transformé en démonstration éclatante de solidarité ! Le 6 juin prochain, lorsque le soleil se lèvera sur le Magic Kingdom, la mer de rouge ne représentera pas qu’un simple week-end festif.. .
