Just as I thought I would never need to handle encoding anymore... customer has a external system that only accepts text files in UTF-8 with BOM. I know how to _remove_ the BOM from an xml document, but how do I add the BOM? Anyone? #bcalhelp

#bcalhelp, has anyone had issues with pictures in word layout where picture size gets reset upon every opening of word file? I have set content control of picture type and resize it per requirement, save the file but on new opening it is of default size...

@phenno1 @DuilioTacconi You have to remember every time you do a modification to resize the image as it was approximately and realign the lines. For me Word reports are much easier to use than RDLC, but these couple of things are annoying

@DuilioTacconi @GayanSergio I read a number of topics regarding Word vs. RDLC comparison, and no one mentioned this issue. Is it possible that no one changed image size in layout ever? Because there is no way out of this, it is a persistent issue which effectively invalidates use of word templates imho...

#bcalhelp for #msdyn365bc When I have deadlock and I see this in event log "NST detected that the SQL Transaction has been terminated by SQL server. Transaction will be disposed without calling Commit or Rollback". What does it mean from data point of view? Are there or aren't?

@KeptyCZ @myNAVblog @waldo1001 I tested two apps, same field names in table extensions, different namespaces. You cannot deploy the second app due to the name conflict now. Even though on the SQL level the table extensions contains app id in the field names, and thus it is not really a duplicate on SQL level..

@GayanSergio @gdrenteria Hi thanks but background tasks are not available in BC14, task scheduler, basically runs job queue and one minute must be elapsed between runs of job queue, and start session runs codeunit without UI. I need a workaround for background task.

@WitoldSzal @JesperSchulz Yep, that might be a good point. Reuse Azure Functions app but for Azure Service Bus. The thing is that I wanted to do something decoupled from other services

@JesperSchulz My experience in this area is limited so my question may be not so smart :) If this is kind of Azure Service Bus “copy”, why not use Azure Service Bus plus AL module similar to AZB?
