@JohnDavids46868 @Thomo_Grant agree - port or lions should've won grand finals in 2020 & 2021 with the covid advantages. port's midfield in 2021 was wines, boak & drew. butters, rozee & gray were full-time forwards. dogs had bont, mccrae, libba, bailey smith, hunter, dunkley & treloar.

@GayanSubasingh6 @Thomo_Grant Champion data ranked Port’s list in the top 2 for 20/21 and had the advantage of not playing in Covid hubs and two home prelims. A 71 point prelim final loss at home to the well-travelled Bulldogs should’ve seen Ken being given his marching orders….

I cannot understand the rationale around his performance and his standing as an AFL coach. I must be missing something?

@PowerPigDT @Addyant23 our rebound from back 50 is so much better with marshall vs esava or bzt. he needs to be better defensively though. our ground ball defence has been worst in comp for years. need jones, bergman + evans back.

@GayanSubasingh6 @Addyant23 Lai reminds me of a young Wilbur throws his body at everything big shoes to fill but i think given the chance can lock down that back pocket for years with the right coaching

Our exit from HB is exactly what Marshall has been good at consistently this year except the showdown where he was admittedly terrible.
Nika ☀@Someone31411943

@Addyant23 Slow start and AWFUL fumbles by some of our more experienced players. The newer guys are having more consistent impact imo. Our exit from back half is fucking TERRIBLE. We need to clean that up and give ourselves more options so badly. We legit get stuck there

@PaulZauch also our best selling point along with mitch & rozee to lesser extent to keep butters. issue is we're up against playing with bont, darcy, richards, freijah and now sanders.

JHF is the key to the current list. When he’s held we look pedestrian. When he’s flying we look better than we should. We get even effort from Zak but peaks & flat spots from Hornet. When he gets this right he’ll be unstoppable. #aflpowerdogs #weareportadelaide

@TravisWakeling even with luko & atkins, i'd still take it for a wantaway player. should look better for us long-term if luko stays fit and lives up to even half of his potential. murphy reid would've made this a home run trade.

With Whitlock’s rising star nom, it’s time to revisit this trade. So we lose Houston (gun) and our future 1st… so let’s say Sam Cumming we may have selected at p6. Instead we have Richards, Whitlock, Berry & Moraes, with the best of Luko to come. Would you do it again?

@Addyant23 don't get me wrong would still love houston. but berry, whitlock + moraes are all long termers. luko looks like a fail so far with injury and consistent effort.

@PaulZauch already nursing sore back, made worse by copping thilthorpe's body in same spot. he"s our best hope at keeping butters.

@Addyant23 @SamuelPower68 not convinced with mckinlay and wehr, would rather lai and burgoyne on wings. rozee & spp to come back in too. marshall needs to be better defensively. need to find someone on oppo small forwards too. bergmam might be the answer.

@SamuelPower68 Have to watch the replay to see why Cook was so far. Will be an interesting dissection. But in an away showdown, the pressure was sustained all game and defence held off extremely well. Ultimately it was Q3 that cost us but with an inexperienced side there are many positives

Great game, probably the best showdown I can remember for a while Credit to Adelaide, huge Q3 and was awesome in that last minute. Lots of positives for Port too, need to understand what happened in Q3, especially in the contest. But otherwise we were very good imo

@Addyant23 lot of positives - lachie jones living up to pre-draft hype (touch wood stays injury free), allir's career best game, whitlock is our no.2 banana for next decade, berry forging own path.

@anthonyalesiani @AFL *VFL. pies win a flag paying nothing for daicos. lions win 2 flags paying nothing for 2 time norm smith medalist ashcroft. dogs pay nothing to get arguably best player in comp darcy.

There would be less outrage to the draft changes if it was for 2027 onwards. Yet like the @AFL continues to do, is make rash decisions to benefit their agenda and make it hard for everyone else. They simply won’t shake the tag of “the amateur league”. Ridiculous #AFL

Port Adelaide chairman David Koch says he’s “pretty certain” the club will appeal the decision to uphold Zak Butters’ fine for umpire abuse. Club will receive tribunal findings and make its decision this morning @7AFL @7NewsAdelaide

@Addyant23 maybe his body is not up to afl standard. a big miss so far as 1st rounder. berry's finishing continues to be bad. needs to get more touches. allan, reid, jacques, shanahan and gallop taken later in draft. evans, farrell, mackinlay, brodie, wehr & mead also not up to it.

@GayanSubasingh6 I am close to giving up on Jones as a defender. He should be tried in that SPP role as a pressure forward

@PAFC was there live. certainly don't expect to play finals this season. but tackling, clearance and defence were the worst i've seen in a few years at least. butters needs to handle tags better - mullin did something similar last season. JHF is not fit to play currently.

@PAFC 100% certain he won't go off the rails like tredders. we have such an irrational fan base that tredders still has supporters who think he was wronged. despite the lack of apology for an anti-semitic pod guest, ll & excuses for not paying channel 9.
