The Gayhead Library had a special visit from Ms. Cathy, Children's Librarian at the EF Community Library. She spoke to our 2nd graders and told them about all of the fun-filled activities that are being held there this summer. @WCSDEmpowers @GayheadWCSD @GayheadPTA @ASchout10

After reading about ways to make everyday Earth Day, 2nd grade Library classes worked on a colorful and collaborative Spring mural. Over 100 students made this beautiful piece come together through TEAMWORK. @WCSDEmpowers @GayheadWCSD @GayheadPTA @ASchout10

K/1 Ss in the Gayhead Library did some creative Fall drawings with their fingers! After reading the book,"The Leaf Thief", we used the Doodlebuddy app and learned how to change colors, the thickness of the brush stroke, and how to erase. @GayheadWCSD @WCSDEmpowers @ASchout10

Kindergarten and 1st grade Library Classes at Gayhead Elementary learned about gears, teeth and grooves. Students showed what they learned by building gear trains. @WCSDEmpowers @ASchout10 @GayheadWCSD

Kindergarten students in the Gayhead Library built Chica Chica Boom Boom trees and tried to balance the letters in their name. Great engineering, problem solving, and perseverance by all! @WCSDEmpowers @GayheadWCSD @ASchout10
