@susangbarber I’m determined in my last few years before retirement to make my main classroom goal WONDER AND BEAUTY. We are reading amazing books and poems and stories. We are talking about them, writing about them, making art about them. We are walking outside and finding joy. Period.

This thread is both hilarious and sad. We have sucked all of the joy and wonder out of the classroom. No wonder students don’t like school.

I was scheduled to do an all-day workshop in Texas on Thursday. Because of the governor’s order, the district could not ensure that the attending teachers would be masked (indoors, all day). This is insanity. I am not coming.
