Over the past 24 hours we’ve seen the outpouring of grief, sadness, anger and anxiety as a result of the US Presidential election. This was absolutely the right response and we all needed a day to grieve, to breathe and to regroup. But to paraphrase VP Harris’ speech, we may have lost the election, but we have not lost the fight. The LGBTQIA+ movement was born out of a fight and we continue to fight for our equal rights. But remember, it’s a fight we’re winning - 80% of all Americans support LGBTQIA+ antidiscrimination laws. It’s only a small minority that use our community, especially the trans community, as a wedge issue to divide and rile up their base. The NBC Exit Poll showed that significantly more LGBTQIA+ people voted Democrat than any other presidential cycle. Our community organized and came together in the most dramatic way. Now LGBTQIA+ media, community groups and leaders must bring the community together and be beacons of hope. We intend to do just that and will have some big news to share early in 2025 which will show just how we’re readying to fight and deliver change through the power of video games. Brave hearts. Bold minds. Let’s make a difference. Let’s fight.
