@kichan202 UPDATE: Oral arguments in #KartelAppeal hearing have concluded. Judges have reserved decision until an unspecified date. Justice Morrison says the matter is being "treated as priority" and the registrar will advise litigants of the date when Judgement will be handed down.

UPDATE: Oral arguments in #KartelAppeal hearing have concluded. Judges have reserved decision until an unspecified date. Justice Morrison says the matter is being "treated as priority" and the registrar will advise litigants of the date when Judgement will be handed down.

SDPP Taylor - 'the crown submits that for the appeal to be quashed on this ground (publicity), the appellants must show that they were afforded an unfair trial and that the tribunal of fact (the jury) depended on media publications to convict them. They have not done so'

SDPP Taylor says Justice Campbell took steps not to involve himself or make himself privy to deliberations of the Jury. Taylor says "it cannot be said that his (Justice Campbell's) failure to discharge the jury resulted in a miscarriage of justice.
