Why Reform UK? Why Now? I’m stepping into politics for the first time as a Reform UK candidate in the upcoming local elections. But how did I get here? They say young people start liberal and turn conservative with age. Not me, I’ve always been an “old soul.” The best societies are built on timeless values: family, community, and country. Protecting the vulnerable, honouring traditions, upholding law and order, and defending our way of life, these aren’t just British ideals; they are universal truths for all civilized societies. As I learned more about politics and economics, one thing became clear: nothing that requires the labour of others should be an entitlement for those who refuse to contribute. History proves it, free markets, innovation, and competition produce far better living standards than big government and handouts ever could. Socially and economically, I have always been what you might call “right-wing.” That’s why I voted Conservative up to David Cameron’s last election. Not a popular stance among young people, especially living in a Labour stronghold at the time, but I voted with my principles. Those same principles meant I could no longer support the Conservatives after they repeatedly proved they were not conservative at all. Even after 2015, with the Lib Dems out of the coalition, the Tories continued raising taxes, increasing welfare spending, enabling mass immigration, and pushing woke agendas. They are Conservative in name only. For years, I was politically homeless. Then I discovered Reform UK. At first, I had doubts, mainstream media spin made me wary. But when I listened to Nigel Farage, read Reform’s policies, and met local Reformers, I heard nothing but common sense. I joined Reform UK in September 2024 and met like-minded, hardworking people who simply love this country and want to fix it. I never planned to stand as a candidate. But someone asked me: "If you don’t stand up for change, who will?" That’s why I’m here. It’s time to take our country back. 🇬🇧 #ReformUK #TimeForChange #VoteReform
