In 2023 we theoretically predicted that phonon softening can produce an unbounded, giant superconducting Tc: doi.org/10.1088/1361-6…. A preprint now reports a Tc=162K from first-principles calculations in strained carbon nanotubes due to soft phonons: arxiv.org/abs/2603.15305
