Good Morning and happy Friday you lovely people! I really enjoyed going on Question Time last night and it’s great to see all the love and support I’ve been getting. But it back to work time, and it is my favourite day of the week. It is Friday, it’s that day when we get to park up our vans, lock up our warehouses and enjoy a cheeky pint in our favourite pub after work with our friends and family. We are open today until 5pm serving the freshest sea and shell fish all sourced locally from the wonderland Billingsgate market. We are located next to The Thatchers Arms pub in Brentwood Essex. I’ve got a few mates that I’ve known since I was 15/16… mates that grafted and worked so hard, mates that have built up multi million pound companies in waste, in electrical and maintenance services, in property etc.
Not one has A levels or a degree.
They are some of the smartest people I know. Never believe that school grades or university degrees are a must. Work ethic and aspiration trumps a piece of paper.

I am 57, have worked full time since I was 16. Paid full NI all these years. Now I need spinal surgery, without it I will lose my mobility. It has taken 10 years to get the diagnosis. It could be another 2 years before I get the surgery. I could have the surgery next month if I went private but I can’t afford it. People breaking into the country are being fast tracked by the NHS. I feel angry and let down and honestly think what was the point of working and playing by the rules?
