Sai Sudharsan is called a classy batter… but he has scored only 554 runs at 157 SR 😭
Shubman Gill is called a future superstar… but he has scored only 552 runs at 160 SR 😭
Heinrich Klaasen is called a great finisher… but he has scored only 508 runs at 153 SR 😭
But there is one old lion who has scored almost the same amount of runs with a better strike rate than all of them 🥶
Can you guess who? 👀
@jammypants4 He felt like a sore thumb in front of exceptional actors like Sanjay Mishra, Rasika Dugal and Tigmanshu Dhulia. It seemed on similar lines of AS Bassi in TJMM, casted purely for views.
Suvendu Adhikari's personal assistant, Chandranath Rath, shot dead on a public road in North 24 Parganas.
The sheer audacity of this, even after knowing the BJP has won and Suvendu is set to occupy one of the highest posts in the state!
Bengal needs a ruthless crackdown on criminal and terror elements. That must be the state's top priority for the next five years. Don't spare anyone! Make an example out of every politically protected criminal.
@smartshantanu But very inconsistent. Had a long-ish quiet run since a brilliant Asia Cup. Talented no doubt but going the binary - "superhit" or "super struggle" route
R Madhavan Revealed that Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal and Ranveer Singh cried after shooting of 26/11 attack in Dhurandhar 💔
"That moment, that scene was personal for every true indian but some people who cry for Iran and palestine literally called it a Propaganda"
Never forgive, never forget.
First time in my living memory that IPL isn’t trending on X or Insta.
Upcoming 5 state elections has zero resonance on SM.
The only bloody thing visible everywhere as talking points within WA groups, family & friends circle is dissecting every frame of #Durandhar2 & analysing lyrics of songs of that movie.
When was the last time an Indian movie captured such a public imagination that everything else became trivial.
RGV has beautifully analysed tha Durandhar phenomenon in a podcast with Bhardwaj Rangan
Jaiye Sajna is growing on me every passing hour. Have heard it with English subtitled lyrics 100 times in last 2 days.
I underestimated the effect of the movie on me when I walked out of cinema but days later it’s got injected in my veins now

2. Vishwanathan Anand gets tensed when the waiter asks, 'Check de doon'.
3. A potato was grilled by cops; after two hours of torture, it gave in, 'Main Batata hun, main Batata hun...'

There are knocks that win you matches, and then there are knocks that win you space; space in the dressing room, space in public memory, and space in your own mind.
Sanju Samson’s 97* at the T20 World Cup against West Indies was the latter.
When he said it was one of the greatest days of his life, I understood exactly what he meant.
Because as players, we know the weight of waiting.
The waiting for your name to be called. The waiting for clarity. The waiting to silence conversations that refuse to leave you alone.
A chase of that magnitude is about sequencing, about knowing when to absorb and when to impose.
What stood out to me was his control of tempo. He didn’t try to win the game in the Powerplay. He didn’t panic when the asking rate hovered. He trusted his access, through cover, over midwicket, and behind square, and he trusted his base.
There was a time when Sanju’s talent was discussed more than his temperament, but this innings helped him flipped that narrative.
The stillness at the crease, refusal to overhit, clarity in his decision-making, all of that comes from scars, and from an understanding that in tournament cricket, you have to build your moments.
In the context of Indian cricket, this was the emergence of a player comfortable in his own skin. Some innings change scorecards. Some change careers, and this felt like the latter.
Congratulations Sanju! Way to go!
