The only time Tails and Cream were ever portrayed as adults, were in the Archie comics. Which most Sonic fans either don’t know or care about unless it becomes canon. Still, the safest option is chars like Vanilla, Wave, Rouge and Flora. Aging up will always be a grey area

The ages will always matter to most people. The reason why characters like Sonic, Amy, Blaze and Knuckles don’t get as much backlash is cause their age is in the double digits, most artists will age them up. Also….
