No, I don't support mandated vasectomies or mandated tubal sterilization. I’m not interested in forcing people to get pregnant or not. I’m not pro-life because I want to control people’s bodies or punish people for sex. I just think once a human exists, it's wrong to kill them.

Any open-minded person should be disgusted whenever people try to silence their political opposition.

I’m not interested in forcing anyone to become pregnant, or not become pregnant, or parent a child for 18 years, or not parent a child for 18 years. I literally just think you can’t kill innocent humans.

We should be confident enough in our position to not be too intimidated to learn about pro-choice arguments and respond to them in their strongest form.

Since I believe abortion is the violent and unjust killing of innocent humans, telling me to mind my own business isn’t going to work. We don’t mind our own business about that kind of thing. You have to prove why I’m wrong about what abortion IS.

Moral relativism is one of the most destructive worldviews of the century. It’s become so popular that it’s even creeping into our churches unnoticed. It’s important that pro-lifers are able to combat it respectfully but effectively.

If you’re pro-life, and you think people disagree with you because they’re just evil baby-killing monsters, think again. If you’re pro-choice, and you think people disagree with you because they’re just stupid religious zealots, think again. People are more complicated than that.

Honest dialogue is aimed at truth, which makes it the greatest friend of the truth-seeker. Censorship, on the other hand, is the greatest enemy of the truth-seeker.

Abortion is a conflict of rights issue. Science says a living human is killed in an abortion, & I can't think of a logical way to justify equal rights for all BORN humans while EXCLUDING unborn ones. Bodily autonomy is important but doesn't give the right to KILL another person.

Science is incredibly clear that the unborn are biologically a distinct member of the species Homo sapiens. They’re alive, have unique human DNA, and are whole organisms on a self-directed path to maturity, not part of an organism like a skin cell or a sperm cell.

When you go out of your way to understand people, even when they offend you, they notice. You help create an environment where you can have meaningful conversations with others, which does not happen if you just follow the temptation to dismiss their view.

Sometimes you will be in conversations and it’s not apparent whether it’s worth continuing. You’ll need to make a difficult judgment call, and be aware that sometimes you will probably make the wrong call, and that’s okay.

The golden rule of dialogue is "reason the way you want others to reason."

"Male masturbation will now be defined as mass murder.” Nope. Sperm and zygotes aren’t biologically the same thing. The pro-life position isn’t that killing ANYTHING is wrong; I just think that intentionally killing innocent humans is wrong. Zygotes are human organisms.

Good dialogue requires the ability to listen well to the other person, as opposed to stubbornly sticking to your flowchart.

Learn what this historical context means to the pro-choice person you’re talking to, and react appropriately.

Get comfortable with allowing silence so you and/or the person you’re talking to can process. You will absolutely be more likely to see minds changed and lives saved if you do.

The fact that there’s a continuum between two states does not necessitate that there’s no difference. But if you’re going to claim that someone on one side of the continuum has the right to life and the person on the other side doesn’t, it’s reasonable to demand some explanation.

Apologetics is not an end in itself, it’s a means to an end. The end for which we use apologetics is loving people by seeking their best interest.

For some people, the most loving thing we can do for them is to graciously confront them with the truth about abortion, even if it offends them. For others, the most loving thing we can do for them is to listen to them, at least for a time.

Q: “Would you tolerate abortion if we removed the fetus alive and let it die naturally?” A: If you purposefully drop a newborn in the ocean, you only moved her environment, but you can’t say “I didn’t kill her, the ocean did.” That "removal abortion" is still killing. Not okay.
