And sometimes the family pressure makes it worse because some parents don’t even reason like normal parents should. They expect a child they’re struggling to send to school to still be sending money home. How exactly do they expect that to happen? A lot of girls end up doing things they never imagined just to survive. Some people take advantage of them with just food or 2k and people will ask “why?” without understanding the situation. God forbid I’ll be in my 20’s sending money to my parents or feeding them. What do you mean your parents are below 55 years old and you’re taking care of them? Some parents are very lazy and Nigerians have enabled this nonsense. How can you be billing your 22 years old daughter in the university as a parent? You don’t even care how she’s making the money she sends to you. This rubbish has to stop. Travel abroad and you’ll see people working even at age 70 but one lazy Nigerian parent is there depending on their kids that should be building their lives in their 20’s for food and basic needs. Talk some sense into your lazy parents else you’ll be suffering for a very long time.
