The only real mistake is destroying the old system to have this one. Both should exist.
Another could be that it's locked behind a paywall and even then, you can only borrow within your own family group. But the system existing at all, is a big win.

You know, Nintendo doesn't get anywhere near enough credit for figuring out digital game lending. Yeah, the system isn't perfect, but unlike most, I'm happy to give the benefit of the doubt and back Nintendo to evolve and tweak the system to make sure they get it right

@W_dragon_tight Well, I haven’t heard of any new Eevee evolutions coming out of Pokémon Champions. That’s why I didn’t point that out although I should have mentioned it. It’s just that there’s rumors of a new light type so maybe a light type evolution for Eevee in Winds/Waves?
